One word that truly fascinates me is the word “perspectives”. In life depending on your social construction, ethnicity, education etc. your view of the world is placed in a certain context based on your knowledge base. This is possibly the natural way in which life evolves as you progress through life hence your behaviour, lifestyle and attitude are shaped either positively or negatively by the external or internal forces that engage you. What is your perspective of the world around you. Are you seeing the world through your own understanding based on the factors that impact on you or is there another way of viewing the world? As a Christian, engaging the world through the lens of Jesus offers an interesting but profound alternative and perspective and this offers love, compassion, forgiveness, empathy, understanding, humility etc leading to a mature Godly approach to engaging the world. Let our prayer be,” Lord help me to see the world through Your lenses. Let me see the inherent good and beauty of Your world and Your creation even in challenging circumstances. Let my reaction to any action mimic what You would have done.” Amen
