There is a journey of life that must traveled by all once born into this world. It is so simplistic to make so many assumptions on this journey especially in relation to our health and well-being. It is so easy to take for granted the gift of life and to ignore the concept of maintaining and sustaining a lifestyle of healthy living based on an understanding of Godly principles. For a majority of us, there is a certain inertia built within us probably because of certain traits and habits formed over the years leading to a neglect of the only true resource we have to help us through this life, our bodies. Procrastinating on the issues that matter most to us especially our health and well-being has led many to both intended and unintended lifestyle consequences including illnesses, mental instability, etc thereby distracting us from focusing on the true essence of Godly living. Friends and loved ones , Kindly pause and reflect on your maintenance culture when it comes to your health and well-being and look around you at the many lives either destroyed or compromised through procrastination leading to poor healthy habits.
Let our prayer be “Lord, open my eyes to see clearly areas especially in my life that requires a change of direction. Help me to be a true temple for you in the ways in which I look after myself in this life. Let me be a reflection of offering to you a healthy sacrifice wholly and acceptable to you. Let my lifestyle reflect you in every way and help me to be proactive in seeking ways to improve my health and well-being daily so that I will be an instrument for you.” Amen.
