Our experiences in life are designed to offer us building blocks to creating a more mature and purposeful outlook for the present and the future. It is so easy to spend a lot of time in the camp of worry, frustration and possibly desperation as we bemoan our seemingly failures in life.
It will be very insightful if we pause to reflect on whether these stumbling blocks have been placed in our pathways for a strategic reason and whether on hindsight we can see them as guide posts rather than obstacles.
Everyone has a different set of rules guiding their growth and development. These set of rules composes of tests, challenges, failures and successes. It is important as individuals to regularly pause and review the decisions and steps we have taken with the outcomes achieved in order to make more mature and informed decisions based on careful thought.
Understanding and the application of the word of God at this point in decision making becomes very useful. In proverbs 16:9 (NKJV) the Bible says that the mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. Partnership with the Lord invariably becomes the essential tool for moving forward but also being in a much better position to manage the minefields and pitfalls more maturely and peacefully when they come your way.
In being patient, your life’s story will unfold in unexpected ways as the Bible says in Ecclesiastes 3:11 that, “He has made everything beautiful in its time”. Today is a new dawn, a new beginning and a new chapter in your life’s story.
Let our prayer be Isaiah 40:31. Help me Lord to wait on you, that my strength will be renewed and I will mount up with wings like eagles and run and not be weary and walk and not faint because you are the God of my life. Amen
